Forest museum


The forest museum is a two-story facility that was built in 1977. The collection includes valuable forest products, biological specimen, including a large tree collection with some specimen more than 2 meter in diameter. More than 4400 items are on display that are obtained in the experimental forests of Hokkaido University or through gifts. The opening hours of the museum are limited.

 

Important Notice

Due to the reconstruction work of the government office building, the Forest Museum will be closed to the public.

(The reopening date has not yet been decided.)

The last day the facilities will be open to the public is November 1, 2025.
